How do I get my data back?
Data recovered by our service is returned on an encrypted storage device, unless being collected directly from our premises.
We always encrypt customer data that is being returned by courier. This protects your personal information during the return journey. Once receipt is confirmed we will then provide you with the password to access the drive.
The data encryption does add a small amount of time to the recovery process, but it is one of a number of important data security measures that we insist on taking.
A new or blank hard drive can be sent along with your faulty device. Alternatively you can have the hard drive delivered directly from a retailer or we can provide the media ourselves for an additional cost.
In addition, we keep a copy of your recovered data securely offline for 30 days (or less on request). After 30 days that data is securely purged.
